We have a vision for:
A community of disciple-making disciples
A community who are:
Generous
Hospitable
Joyful
Engaging in the mission of God in our world. Committed to creatively worship the creator.
A community that eats together, shares with each other and looks out for those struggling. Ready to extend tables or find more chairs
Rooted in the story of God and his people that we find in Scripture
Rooted in God the creator, allowing our hearts be broken for what breaks his
Rooted in the love of Jesus for the world, who offers his life and death to become at-one with us and in return offers us resurrection and fullness of life so we can be at-one with him, so we can be the people we were created to be.
Rooted in the Spirit of God being sent, exercising the gifts and being transformed by the fruits of the Spirit
Rooted in the men and women we meet in Acts, following the way; missionary, dispersed and yet there were no needy among them
Rooted in the British Celtic tradition of living by a rule of life, at-one with creation, monastic but sent
Rooted in the anabaptist story committed to living out the sermon on the Mount, living lives dedicated to peace-making
Rooted in the Baptist story, a gathered community with Christ at the head. A Priesthood of all believers, dissenters, not conformers, in a culture of Individualism, Consumerism and Greed
Rooted in the three Spiritual disciplines of Jesus: giving, prayer and fasting
Rooted in the margins, among the lost and the forgotten, an area of contrasts. An area of inclusivity, beauty and community spirit!
Reaching into marginal places, forgotten places. Not as saviours but as students.
Incarnating the Gospel through word and action. Discipling, baptising, and teaching
Living, working and worshipping among the poorest in our world; the Spiritually poor as well as the economically poor.
Feeding, housing, clothing, and visiting
Loving the unlovable and reaching the unreachable
Speaking up for the voiceless bringing healing and justice into a broken world
Being counter-cultural through rejection of the idols of comfort and polarisation; a people of unity in a splintered world
Following Christ in everything we do and are, with our heads, hearts and hands; declaring that the upside-down Kingdom of God is near
We call this church
